Our First Look at the Street Fighter Movie's Chun-Li and Ken Masters Comes From Joke Social Media Posts by Andrew Schulz

Stand-up comedian and actor Andrew Schulz has given us a little taster of what to expect from Legendary's live-action Street Fighter movie with some behind-the-scenes peeks at two of the film's major characters.

Schulz, who plays Dan Hibiki in the 2026 movie, posted a handful of limited-time posts to his Instagram account. Not only do we get to see Callina Liang (almost — not sure the jacket is authentic!) in full costume as Chun-Li, but also Noah Centineo's Ken Masters.

The original posts have disappeared from Schultz's feed, but thankfully the internet never forgets:

The posts show Ken sporting his iconic look from the Street Fighter games, complete with long blonde hair. We don't get to see Chun-Li in full costume, but we can tell her hair will look the part.

Here's the official blurb on the Street Fighter movie:

Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!

Legendary announced the full cast for its upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie earlier this month — which includes 50 Cent as Balrog and WWE superstars Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes as Akuma and Guile respectively — and confirmed it'll be released by Paramount Pictures a little later than planned on October 16, 2026. Bad Trip’s Kitao Sakurai directs Street Fighter, which has begun shooting in Australia and is filming in IMAX.

  • Mel Jarnson as “Cammy”

Legendary also released side-by-side images of the actors opposite their game characters, which you can see by scrolling the slideshow below.

Last week, 50 Cent offered a first look at Balrog via a training social media post, complete with distinct hairstyle. Jason Momoa recently hyped up his involvement, saying: “There’s no one better to play Blanka, so that’s why I’m doing it. We’ll do what the audience would like to see — practical, CG — we’re gonna do our best. The cast is insane. My son and I play it; it’s the only game I played.” And Roman Reigns teased his role as Akuma with a short social media video, below.

Hollywood’s love affair with video game adaptations shows so sign of slowing down given movies like A Minecraft Movie and The Super Mario Bros. Movie have generated hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office. On this occasion, though, there's the added pressure of ensuring it outperforms the 1994 original, which is considered by many to be among the worst video game films of all time.
